Blood &Tissue Center of Central Texas (BTC):
 
Mobile Team Phlebotomist: Responsible for determining donor eligibility, performing phlebotomy techniques, and managing adverse donor reactions. Also, need to maintain excellent donor relations at blood drives.  Responsible for set up and take down of drive.  Qualified candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prefer 1 year experience in taking vitals and/or phlebotomy. Certificate in phlebotomy, medical assisting, EMT, or nursing assistant is preferred and may substitute for experience. Salary: $11.40 - $12.85 an hour. Employee receives an increase after training and team differential.

 
Distribution Technician – Part Time & Full Time (000610): Responsible for maintaining and managing the inventory of blood products and to provide distribution service to hospitals, other blood centers, and clients. Other duties include logging orders, ensure delivery times are met, inspect products and pack appropriately, deliver components, and complete documentation. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 2 years of customer service experience required and ability to lift 30 lbs. Prefer some experience in inventory, distribution, and/or warehouse experience. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Texas driver’s license, proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record. Full time shift includes Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7am to 7pm. Part time shift will work about 15 hours a week on Friday through Sunday.
 
Surgical Recovery Technician – Part Time (000560): Responsible for performing surgical recovery procedures on tissue donors, adhering to all standards and guidelines, completing recovery documentation, handling sterile equipment, packaging and labeling tissue products, donor reconstruction, and assist in training of other new technicians. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, prefer certificate in Surgical Technician (CST) or 2 years experience in similar environment. 2 years of college education may substitute for certificate and experience. Must be able to lift 250 lbs with assistance and 50 lbs. without assistance. Applicant needs to be able to work a flexible schedule. On-call shift includes a 72 hour block from Tuesday to Thursday.
