Community Outreach volunteers motivate prospective blood and tissue donors, educate the public about the need for donations and the patients that these donations help, and assist with health fairs and special events. 

 

Responsibilities:

Educate the public at health fairs, community events, media blood drives and sign-up tables at churches, business and schools on the many programs of the Blood and Tissue Center. Staff information tables at various companies, campuses and organizations throughout the Central Texas area on behalf of The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas, handing out agency material and answering basic questions about the donation process.  

 

Qualifications:

Friendly, outgoing, comfortable public speaking, flexible, and attentive. Completion of The Blood and Tissue Center’s “Own It” Customer Service Training.
