Remembering The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas in your Will
When you include The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas in your will, you are using your will power to support an institution whose work you believe in. Your bequest will help build a solid funding base that will support The Center far into the future.

If you presently have a will, you may likely be able to easily add a codicil (an amendment) providing for a bequest to The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas.

If you don't have a will, this is the time to prepare one. Please consult your attorney to assist in carrying out your wishes and tailoring your bequest to your needs and goals.

Charitable Remainder Trust
The charitable remainder trust provides payments for life or a term of years at a payout rate you determine in consultation with The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas and your financial and legal advisors. Payments may be fixed (annuity trust) or based on the trust balance as revalued annually (unitrust). Unitrust payments can increase over time if the principal grows. You may make additional tax-deductible contributions at any time. You may contribute cash, securities or real estate, and you may avoid tax on any capital gain.

Planned Giving
Also known as "Gifts for the Future," Planned Giving is planning your contribution with regard for tax and estate implications. It enables you to help The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas and move toward your personal financial goals at the same time. Planned Gifts are made in various ways, each with its own particular advantage.

A gift of life insurance can provide a significant future gift at an affordable present cost to you. Many people own some life insurance because of its unique ability to meet a variety of needs for financial protection, but its role in planned charitable giving is frequently overlooked.

Giving a new or existing policy in most cases provides a tax deduction for the present cash value of the policy and/or the future premiums you pay if The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas is names as beneficiary and owner of the policy.
